Video insights
@ketorecipes's TikTok video "Here is how you can make the viral baked feta pasta, but with caramelized onions… and I think this version is even better. It’s creamy, savory, a little sweet from those roasted onions and tomatoes, and ridiculously easy to make. You make it all in ONE pan and it is so so good. Use any pasta that you like! To make it high protein and low carb, I used my @Kaizen Food Company pasta. I created Kaizen protein pasta because I wanted something that actually tasted and ate like pasta while fitting the way I wanted to eat. It has 20g protein, just 6g net carbs, and 130 calories per serving. Game changer for me and so many of you. Here’s how I made it: 1.Add 2 pints cherry or grape tomatoes, 1 small super thinly sliced yellow onion, and 3-4 garlic cloves to an oven-safe baking dish. 2.Place 6-7oz of feta cheese right in the middle. 3.Drizzle with about 1-2 tbsp olive oil, season with 1/2 tbsp oregano, 1 tbsp chili flakes or Aleppo pepper, a pinch of salt, generous fresh cracked pepper. 4.Pop it into the oven at 400F for ~50 minutes. Until the tomatoes are bursting, the feta is soft, and those onions are beautifully caramelized around the edges. 5.Remove from the oven and mash everything together. Or toss everything into a blender if you want the sauce extra smooth. Taste and adjust as you wish. 6.Cook 8oz of your favorite pasta. To keep this high protein + low carb I used my Kaizen lowcarb pasta. Then just strain the pasta and toss straight into the sauce and mix well. Top with plenty of fresh basil and ENJOY. This is one of those easy weeknight recipes, such a great healthy dinner, and perfect comfort food thats good for you. If you make it, be sure to let me know on SHREDHAPPENS - I share easy recipes, mediterranean food, high protein recipes, and mediterranean recipes that are so easy and so good.
