Privacy Policy

What we process when you visit, what we deliberately do not collect, and the choices you have.

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Summary

  • No accounts, no sign-ups, no user profiles on this site.
  • We do not store personal information about visitors beyond short-lived server logs and aggregate usage statistics.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share visitor data with anyone except our service providers and, where applicable, advertising partners described below.
  • Advertising is served by third-party networks that may set their own cookies; where consent is required, you will be asked first.
  • The TikTok data in our index comes from public, logged-out pages. It is not derived from any visitor’s account.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy covers TikMonkey (the “site”) and explains how TikMonkey (the “operator”, “we”, “us”) processes information in connection with it. It does not cover TikTok or any other third-party service you may reach from the site; those services have their own privacy policies.

2. Information we process automatically

Like most websites, we process limited technical information when you visit:

  • Server logs — IP address, browser type, requested URL, referring page, and timestamp. We use these for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting, and retain them for a short period (no longer than 30 days).
  • Aggregate usage statistics — page views and aggregated traffic metrics used to understand which parts of the index are useful and to decide how often to refresh entities. These are aggregate; they are not used to build a profile of you.
  • Essential cookies — where needed for load balancing, security, and remembering your cookie choices. These are necessary for the site to function.

3. Cookies and consent

The site uses a small number of cookies and similar storage technologies:

  • Essential — required for core site functions and security; these cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics — aggregate measurement of page usage. These are optional.
  • Advertising — set by our advertising partners to serve and measure ads. These are optional.

Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended without essential cookies.

4. Advertising

The site is supported by display advertising delivered by third-party ad networks. These partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure ad performance and, where you have consented or where they otherwise have a lawful basis, to show ads that are more relevant to you. We do not control the data practices of these partners; please review their privacy policies. Where required by law, personalised advertising is only enabled after consent, and you can object to it through the consent controls.

5. Information about creators and entities in the index

The site indexes publicly visible information about TikTok creators, videos, hashtags and sounds. This information is collected from public, logged-out pages — the same information any visitor could see without an account. It is not collected from our visitors and it is not personal data about you.

If you are a creator and want your profile or content removed from the index, you can ask us to remove it at any time and for any reason. See the takedown and DMCA page for how to do that.

6. What we do not do

  • We do not create accounts, profiles or tracking IDs for visitors.
  • We do not collect special categories of personal data, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
  • We do not sell or rent personal information.
  • We do not intentionally combine data across unrelated third-party sites to profile you.

7. Sharing

We share information only with: (a) service providers who host and operate the site on our behalf and are bound to use it only for that purpose; (b) advertising partners as described above; and (c) public authorities where we are legally required to disclose. If our business is reorganised, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

8. Retention

Server logs are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted or aggregated. Aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely because they no longer identify individuals. Entity data in the index is public information about creators and is retained until it is refreshed or removed on request.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Because we do not operate accounts, we may not hold data that identifies you beyond short-lived logs; if you believe we hold personal data about you, contact [email protected] and we will respond as required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. International transfers

The site may be hosted and processed in countries other than your own. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses).

11. Children

The site is a general-audience information service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page with its “last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
