About TikMonkey

An independent, public-data index of TikTok creators, videos, hashtags and sounds — built to make the long tail of public TikTok data findable and understandable.

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Why this index exists

TikTok is one of the largest public media platforms in the world, but its data is built for a feed, not for reference. Public profiles, hashtags and sounds are difficult to browse, compare or cite, and most analytics tooling only looks at the biggest accounts. A creator with 4,000 followers, a niche hashtag, or a sound used in a few hundred videos is effectively invisible.

This site indexes public TikTok entities and turns each one into a structured page with consistent, transparent statistics. The goal is simple: when someone searches for a creator, a hashtag or a sound, there is a page that answers the basic questions — how big is this, how active is it, how has it been performing, and where is the source data from — without needing an account or an app.

What the index covers

  • Creators — public profile information, follower and engagement statistics, posting activity, and links to their recent public videos.
  • Videos — public metadata: caption, publish date, duration, and engagement counts. We do not store or re-publish the video file itself.
  • Hashtags — how widely a tag is used and which public videos and creators are most associated with it.
  • Sounds — which sound was used, and the public videos and creators using it.

Every page is generated from our own database. Statistics carry an “as of” date so you always know how fresh they are, and the formulas behind every computed figure are published on our methodology page.

What we deliberately do not do

  • We are not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance. We are an independent index. TikTok, ByteDance and their logos are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe the platform whose public data we index.
  • We do not host media. We do not store, mirror, re-upload or re-stream video or audio files. Our pages describe public media; playback, where offered, is resolved to the source platform on demand.
  • We do not touch private content. We index only what a logged-out visitor can see on a public page. We do not log in, bypass authentication, access private accounts, or use non-public endpoints.
  • We do not offer social features. There are no accounts, no uploads, no following, no commenting, and no way to contact creators through this site.

How the data is collected

Automated systems collect publicly accessible TikTok pages at scheduled intervals, and we store identifiers, metadata and statistics we compute ourselves. Entities are refreshed on a tiered schedule — high-interest pages more often, the long tail less often — and each page shows when it was last refreshed. Visiting this site never triggers a request to TikTok; pages are served from our own storage and cache.

Estimates, accuracy and corrections

Some figures are measurements (follower counts, view counts) and some are estimates (engagement labels, estimated earnings). Estimates are clearly labelled and modelled with published formulas. We work to keep the index accurate, but we do not guarantee that any figure matches the live platform at any given moment.

If you spot an error, tell us at [email protected] and we will review it. See the methodology page for how corrections and disputes are handled.

Removal and takedown

Creators can ask us to remove or de-index their profile at any time, for any reason, without explanation. The short form is the removal request page. Copyright holders can submit a takedown notice. Both processes, and our response times, are described on the takedown and DMCA page.
