@hiphopofthe90s's TikTok video "Thirty years ago today, 2Pac attended the Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Seldon boxing event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Following an incident near the Las Vegas Strip later that night, he was hospitalized. He passed away six days later, on September 13, 1996, at the age of 25. 🕊️ At the time, 2Pac was at a commercial peak. “All Eyez on Me” had arrived in February as a 27-track double album. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and later earned Diamond certification in the United States. Although his solo album run lasted less than five years, he released four studio albums during his lifetime and built a catalog that moved between social commentary, personal reflection and major crossover records. His work also extended into acting through films including “Juice,” “Poetic Justice” and “Above the Rim.” In 2017, 2Pac became the first solo hip-hop artist inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023. Thirty years later, his voice and perspective remain deeply connected to hip-hop culture. Long live 2Pac. 🕊️ 📸: Leonard Jefferson #rap #hiphop #rapmusic #hiphopmusic #2pac" has 11,304 views, 470 likes, 8 comments, 20 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
