Video insights
@calwillcookit's TikTok video "Homemade Chicken Soup 🐓🥕🌿 This right here is a staple in my house, especially during the fall & winter! It’s easy to make, comforting, delicious and packed with protein — Once you make this, you’ll never want the canned stuff again! FULL RECIPE ⬇️ INGREDIENTS (~6 servings) - Extra virgin olive oil - 1 large yellow onion (medium-diced) - 1 stalk of celery (sliced ~1/4 in thick) - 16 oz of carrots (peeled and sliced ~1/4 in thick) - 1 bunch of parsley (finely chopped) - ~3 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs - 8 cups chicken bone broth - 4-6 tbsp fresh minced garlic - Seasonings: Italian blend seasoning, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Additional toppings: - Crackers (optional) - Fresh chopped parsley Note(s): Measurements are estimated; adjust ingredients to your personal preference. DIRECTIONS 1. Prep and slice all of the veggies. 2. Coat the chicken thighs with olive oil and season generously on both sides with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and garlic powder. 3. Heat a Dutch oven or large pot over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Sear the chicken for 2–3 minutes per side, then remove and set aside. 4. Add the veggies and minced garlic. Season with the same seasonings and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring frequently. Don’t go too heavy — you can always add more seasoning at the end. 5. Pour in the chicken bone broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Add the chicken back in with the juices, bring to a low simmer, cover and cook for 35–45 minutes. 6. Remove and shred the chicken, then add it back in with the parsley. Mix well and cook over low heat for another 5–10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. 7. Serve it up & ENJOY! 🙌🏻 • • • • • #explore #cooking #food #healthy #fyp" has 129,690 views, 6,206 likes, 57 comments, 767 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
