I want him to be confident in who he is and I want people to see him and instantly think that he carries himself well simply because of his appearance. For anyone who says, “I don’t care what other people think…” sometimes you should. Because the unfortunate reality is that people place a lot of judgement on a person simply by how they present themself. Your appearance can be the reason you don’t get chosen for a job and someone else does simply because they dressed the part or they were well groomed and you were not. There’s a reason why people who are pretty get “pretty privilege” and people who are fit get looked at like they’re superior. It doesn’t mean they are or they deserve privilege, but it’s the world we live in. And if you truly don’t care about the external benefits of caring about your appearance, at least do it for your own personal confidence. You will always feel more confident when you look good.
