Video insights

@theartcoach's TikTok video "Tap the link in my bio to start the drawing drills course. Value grouping is one of the easiest ways to make a drawing feel clearer and more solid. Instead of trying to copy every tiny change in light and shadow, simplify what you see into a few larger value groups: light, midtone, and dark. Squint at your reference and look for the big shapes. Which areas connect? What belongs to the light family? What can be grouped together into one larger shadow? Once those relationships are working, you can gradually add smaller value changes where they actually matter. This is a great drawing exercise for training your eye to simplify complicated references. Big value shapes first. Subtle details later." has 1,929 views, 135 likes, 1 comments, 3 shares in the public metrics captured by this index. That is an engagement rate of 7.21% (likes, comments and shares over views).
