Video insights

@theartcoach's TikTok video "Tap the link in my bio to start the drawing drills course. You can design an entire scene before drawing a single detail. Start by reducing everything into simple shapes. Use large triangles and wedges for mountains, rectangles for buildings, cylinders for trees, ribbons for roads and rivers, and simple masses for foliage. Move those shapes around until the composition, scale, overlap, and depth feel right. Then turn the shapes into 3D forms, modify their silhouettes, and gradually work toward the smaller details and texture. This is especially useful when learning how to draw from imagination because you’re designing the scene instead of hoping it comes together as you render it. Large shapes first. Design the whole before detailing the parts." has 7,816 views, 552 likes, 7 comments, 16 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
