Ingredients: Chicken: 1 tbsp oil of choice 4-6 chicken thighs 1 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp dried thyme 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper The sauce: 3 white onions, sliced 3 garlic cloves, diced 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp plain flour 300ml beef stock 1 tbsp Worcester sauce 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar 1 tsp dried thyme Grated Gruyère cheese Served with mashed potatoes Chopped parsley Firstly, season your chicken and fry off for about 4 mins on each side until golden. Whilst that’s cooking, chop your onions and garlic. Once cooked on each side, remove from the pan and set aside. Pop your onions in the pan and fry off on medium-low heat until soft and golden, this may take around 30-40 mins. Then add your garlic and flour and cook off. Add your beef stock, Worcester sauce, balsamic vinegar, thyme, salt and pepper. Re add your chicken to the sauce and leave to simmer on low for 10 minutes. For the last minute, add the grated cheese and leave to melt.
