@andrew.curates's TikTok video "Leo tunapika Chicken Chukauni- creamy, tangy, spicy na full of flavor. Ingredients For the chicken: * 500g boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into small cubes * 1 tsp curry powder * 1 tsp paprika * 1 tsp cumin powder * 1 tsp coriander powder * ½ tsp turmeric * ½ tsp black pepper * Salt, to taste * Juice of ½ lemon For the chukauni: * 3 tbsp Greek yogurt * ½ tsp salt * 1 tsp sugar * 4 red onions, thinly sliced * A handful of fresh parsley For the spiced oil: * 3 tbsp vegetable oil * 1 tbsp cumin seeds * 3–4 cloves garlic, finely chopped * 1 tbsp spicy paprika * 1 tbsp turmeric Method 1. Marinate the chicken: Add the cubed chicken to a bowl together with curry powder, paprika, cumin, coriander, turmeric, black pepper, salt and lemon juice. Mix well and marinate for at least 2 hours. 2. Cook the chicken: Heat a pan and sear the chicken over low to medium heat until golden brown and cooked through. Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. Set aside. 3. Prepare the chicken mixture: Add the cooked chicken to a large bowl. Add the thinly sliced red onions and fresh parsley. Mix everything together. 4. Prepare the yogurt: In a separate bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, salt and sugar until smooth and creamy. 5. Make the spiced oil: Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over low heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook for about a minute. Add the chopped garlic and cook slowly until golden brown. 6. Reduce the heat and add the spicy paprika and turmeric. Stir briefly, then pour the hot spiced oil directly into the yogurt mixture while whisking/mixing continuously. 7. Pour the spiced yogurt over the chicken and onion mixture and toss everything together until well coated. 8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with flatbread. #swahilitiktok" has 325,396 views, 20,553 likes, 391 comments, 4,274 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
