@heyelle_budgetmeals's TikTok video "FULL RECIPE BELOW ❤️ If you’re new here, I make meal plans that… 👉🏽 use only simple and affordable ingredients that keep our grocery costs low 👉🏽 include a grocery list with an “add everything to cart” option so with one click you can be done with groceries 👉🏽 Meal plans are available here: https://ellebudgetmeals.my.canva.site Ingredients 2 lbs ground pork and beef blend 2 tbsp garlic powder 2 tbsp onion powder 2 tbsp paprika Salt and pepper, to taste 1 lb pasta 3½ cups broth or water and another 3-4 cups Splash of oil 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp all-purpose flour 3-4 tbsp chicken bouillon 2–3 tbsp Italian seasoning 1 cup or more frozen green peas Parmesan cheese, for topping Directions Brown the meat. I used 2 lbs of ground pork and beef blend. Drain if needed. Season the meat with 2 tbsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp onion powder, 2 tbsp paprika, and salt and pepper to taste. Set aside. Pour in 3½ cups of broth or water and add the pasta. I used water, so I added 1 tbsp of chicken bouillon and a splash of oil. Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat to a low simmer. Cover with a lid and stir occasionally. In about 10 minutes, the water should be mostly absorbed. The pasta will not be fully cooked yet. Melt 2 tbsp of butter in the pan, then sprinkle in 2 tbsp of flour. Stir continuously until the flour is fully incorporated and you have a smooth paste. This helps thicken the broth and gives the dish a creamy, hearty consistency. Slowly add 3–4 cups of water or broth, stirring as you pour to prevent lumps. Add the meat back in. Add 2–3 tbsp of chicken bouillon and 2–3 tbsp of Italian seasoning. Adjust the taste and consistency by adding more water, bouillon, or herbs as needed. You cant mess this up - adjust according to your taste. Add 1-2 tbsp butter for more richness in flavor. Let it simmer until the pasta is fully cooked. Add 1 cup or more of frozen green peas during the last few minutes of cooking and let them heat through. Turn off the heat and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. I served this with a side of roasted carrots that I also did not prep - just washed 👀" has 8,278 views, 484 likes, 14 comments, 42 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
