Video insights
@heyelle_budgetmeals's TikTok video "I feed my family of 6 around $85 a week for dinners. My meal plans have helped busy parents (like myself) reduce my grocery cost AND decision fatigue. The plans include pre-shopped grocery lists and with one click you can add everything to your cart. 👉🏼 If you want to start saving and do less planning: LINK IN BIO 🍲 Half & Half Pork-Beef Stir Fry with easy homemade sauce SAUCE: (this recipe is for 1 lb of meat - I used 2lbs and doubled the sauce) 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated 1–2 garlic cloves, grated ½ cup hot water ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce (or 3 Tbsp regular soy sauce) 3 Tbsp brown sugar 1½ Tbsp cornstarch ½ tsp black pepper 2 Tbsp sesame oil Meat: Half ground pork and half ground beef (I used 2 lbs) Veggies: 1 whole onion, sliced 2–3 garlic cloves, minced Bottom parts of 3–4 green onions, chopped 1 bell pepper, sliced 1 crown broccoli, cut into florets Green parts of the same green onions, sliced (for later) Seasoning for meat: 1 Tbsp black pepper 1 Tbsp onion powder 1 Tbsp garlic powder INSTRUCTIONS: Make the sauce by whisking all sauce ingredients together and set aside. In a large pan or wok over medium-high heat with a little oil, sauté the onion, minced garlic, green onion bottoms, bell pepper, and broccoli until the onion just softens, about 3–4 minutes. Veggies should still have some bite. Remove from pan and set aside. Add the ground beef and pork to the same pan. Break it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat, leaving about 1–2 Tbsp in the pan. Season with 1 Tbsp black pepper, 1 Tbsp onion powder, and 1 Tbsp garlic powder. If you want softer broccoli: instead of sautéing…before draining the fat, add the raw broccoli florets to the meat, cover, and let steam for 2–3 minutes. Then drain fat and continue. Return the sautéed veggies to the pan. Add the sliced green parts of the green onions. Stir to mix. Turn heat to low. Pour in the sauce and toss everything until evenly coated. The sauce will thicken quickly. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice." has 538,057 views, 11,845 likes, 126 comments, 2,421 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
