@caitlynskitchen's TikTok video "Cheeseburger Patty Melts These cheeseburger patty melts are loaded with seasoned ground beef, sautéed onion, and plenty of melty Colby Jack cheese, all sandwiched between thick slices of buttery, golden toasted bread. An easy family dinner that tastes like a cheeseburger and grilled cheese all in one! Ingredients For the Cheeseburger Filling 1.25 lbs ground beef 1 yellow onion, diced 1 tbsp tomato paste 1 tsp garlic powder 1-2 tsp your favorite burger seasoning 5 slices Colby Jack cheese For the Patty Melts 10 slices thick-cut bread 7–8 slices Colby Jack cheese (about 1 1/2 slices per sandwich) Salted butter, softened, for spreading Additional butter for toasting Directions 1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onion. Cook, breaking apart the beef as it browns, until the meat is cooked through and the onion is soft. Drain any excess grease if needed. 2. Add the tomato paste, garlic powder, and burger seasoning. Stir until everything is well combined and cook for another 1–2 minutes. 3. Reduce the heat to low and place 5 slices of Colby Jack cheese over the beef mixture. Allow the cheese to melt, then stir until the beef is creamy and cheesy. Remove from the heat. 4. Lay out 10 slices of bread. Spread softened salted butter over the inside and outside of each sandwich. 5. Divide the cheeseburger mixture evenly between 5 slices of bread. 6. Top each with about 1 1/2 slices of Colby Jack cheese, then add the remaining slices of bread. 7. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-low to medium heat. Add a little additional butter to the pan, then add the sandwiches. 8. Toast for a few minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is completely melted. 9. Slice in half and serve warm with your favorite burger sauce, ketchup, mustard, or pickles. Makes 5 patty melts. #EasyRecipe #DinnerIdeas #quickrecipes #easydinner #dinneridea" has 144,104 views, 4,292 likes, 37 comments, 1,383 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
