✨took ”we can make it at home” way too seriously 😂 🍔 Ingredients: Chicken Marinade * 500g chicken thighs or chicken breast, cut into strips * 1 cup buttermilk * ½ tbsp salt * 2 tsp black pepper * 4 tbsp hot sauce * 1 tbsp paprika * 1 tsp mustard (optional) Dry Coating * 2 cups plain flour * 1 cup cornflour * Salt and black pepper, to taste * 2 tsp paprika * 1 tsp garlic powder * 1 tsp onion powder Spicy Sauce * 4–5 tbsp mayonnaise * 6 tbsp sour cream * 1 tbsp ketchup * 1 tsp hot sauce * 1 tbsp mustard * 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce * ½ tsp cayenne pepper * A pinch of salt * ½ tsp dried parsley Mix all the sauce ingredients together until smooth. To Assemble * Iceberg lettuce, shredded * Cheese slices * Burger buns Instructions 1. In a large bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients. Add the chicken, mix well, and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight for the best flavour. 2. In a separate bowl, mix together all the dry coating ingredients. 3. Remove the chicken from the marinade and coat each piece thoroughly in the flour mixture. Dip it back into the marinade, then coat again in the flour mixture, pressing firmly to create a crispy coating. 4. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chicken until golden brown, crispy, and cooked through. 5. Prepare the spicy sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients until smooth and well combined. 6. Lightly toast the burger buns. Spread some spicy sauce on the bottom bun, then add shredded lettuce, a little more sauce, crispy chicken, and cheese slices.
