Video insights

@holvek's TikTok video ""The digital fly" is the world's first complete computer emulation of a living organism's brain, achieved by the American startup Eon Systems. By mapping the biological connectome of a fruit fly, scientists successfully transferred 125,000 neurons and nearly 50 million synaptic connections into a digital environment. The project proved that recreating a living being's behavior doesn't require complex AI code; simply copying the exact structure of its natural neural network is enough. Once placed into a virtual biomechanical body, the digital brain immediately came alive. Without any pre-programmed instructions, the virtual insect began walking, grooming, and reacting to sensory stimuli entirely on its own, perfectly mimicking a real fly. Researchers have since opened this technology to the world, leading to mind-bending experiments where the fly's digitized nervous system has been used to control a physical Unitree G1 humanoid robot and even play classic video games like DOOM and Super Mario 64. This breakthrough is a monumental first step toward Whole Brain Emulation and digital immortality. It confirms that the core patterns of behavior and consciousness are defined by neural topology rather than molecular chemistry. Building on this success, scientists are now paving the way for a much larger challenge: mapping and simulating a mouse brain, which contains a massive 70 million neurons. #programming #Science #education #ai" has 21,863 views, 1,223 likes, 22 comments, 72 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
