@audreybakes's TikTok video "Apple Pie Blondies 🍎🍁 With a maple cream cheese frosting! ✨ Ingredients: ¾ cup (170g) unsalted butter, (brown it) 1 cup (200g) brown sugar ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar 2 eggs, room temp 2 tsp vanilla 1½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour, spooned & leveled or weighed (don’t pack it in) ¼ tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt ¾ tsp cinnamon ¼ tsp nutmeg + 1 medium apple (peeled/cored & diced into small pieces) tossed with ½ tsp cinnamon Optional Frosting: 4 oz cream cheese, room temp 2 tbsp unsalted butter, room temp 1 tbsp maple syrup ½ tsp vanilla ~1 cup (120g) powdered sugar (adjust amount for desired consistency) Pinch of salt Instructions: In a saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat. Stir constantly until it foams then turns a golden brown color. It should have a nutty aroma with little brown bits. Transfer to a heat safe bowl (make sure to get all those little brown bits in there!) Cool for about 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 325°F and line/grease an 8x8 pan. Mix the slightly cooled brown butter and both sugars together. Mix in the eggs and vanilla until fully combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Don’t over mix. Toss the diced apples in cinnamon then gently fold into the batter. Spread the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean/with a few moist crumbs. Let it cool completely. To make the frosting, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Then beat in the powdered sugar, salt, maple syrup, and vanilla. Spread this over the completely cooled blondies. Sprinkle some cinnamon on top. Enjoy! #bakingrecipe #blondies #cookiebars #apples #fallrecipes" has 88,272 views, 6,778 likes, 33 comments, 840 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
