@kookmutsjes's TikTok video "CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA GARLIC BREAD Soft, fluffy homemade rolls stuffed with creamy, spiced chicken and melted cheese, then brushed with garlic herb butter. They’re perfect for lunch, game day or a fun weeknight dinner. Makes: 8 pieces Ingredients DOUGH 175 ml lukewarm water, about 105-110°F (¾ cup) 6 g instant yeast (2 tsp) 12 g honey (1¾ tsp) 75 g plain whole-milk yogurt (⅓ cup) 35 g garlic herb butter, softened (2½ tbsp) 400 g all-purpose flour (3⅓ cups, spooned and leveled) 8 g fine salt (1⅓ tsp) CHICKEN FILLING 25 ml olive oil (about 2 tbsp) 120 g yellow onion, finely chopped (1 medium onion) 10 g fresh cilantro, finely chopped (about ⅓ cup) 500 g boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into small cubes (1.1 lb) 4 g curry powder (1⅓ tsp) 2 g ground turmeric (⅔ tsp) 2 g ground cumin (⅔ tsp) 2 g cayenne pepper (⅔ tsp) 3 g paprika (1 tsp) 5 g chicken bouillon (½ cube or 1 tsp bouillon powder) 30 g tomato paste (2 tbsp) 30 ml water (2 tbsp) 100 g crème fraîche or sour cream (scant ½ cup) 15 g honey (2 tsp) 75 g shredded cheese or mozzarella (¾ cup) EXTRA 8 cheese slices sauce of choice (optional) Topping garlic herb butter, melted Instructions In a large bowl, stir together the lukewarm water, yeast and honey. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Add the yogurt, herb butter, flour and salt. Knead for 10-12 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cilantro and cook for 3-4 minutes, until softened. Add the chicken, curry powder, turmeric, cumin, cayenne and paprika. Crumble the bouillon over the top. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the tomato paste, water and crème fraîche. Simmer for 4-5 minutes, until thickened. Stir in the honey and shredded cheese until the cheese has melted. Remove from the heat and let the chicken cool completely before filling the rolls. Deflate the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces, about 89 g (3 oz) each. Shape them into balls. Roll out each ball into a circle about 6 inches wide. Place a cheese slice in the center and top with about ⅛ of the filling (roughly ⅓ cup). Add sauce if you like. Fold the sides of the dough over the filling, then roll it up like a burrito so the filling is fully sealed. Gently pinch the seam closed. Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with melted garlic herb butter. Let them rise for 30 minutes, until puffy. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through. #cheese #chicken #tiktokfood #bismillah #food" has 2,812,321 views, 284,571 likes, 512 comments, 68,383 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
