@courtneylcook's TikTok video "Easy Southern Sausage Gravy Ingredients 1 lb breakfast sausage 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour 3 cups milk Salt and black pepper, to taste Instructions 1. In a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it into crumbles as it browns. Do not drain the grease. 2. Sprinkle the flour evenly over the cooked sausage. Stir well and cook for 1–2 minutes to get rid of the raw flour taste. 3.Slowly pour in the milk, one cup at a time, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. 4. Bring the gravy to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently. Cook for 5–8 minutes, or until the gravy thickens to your desired consistency. 5. Season with salt and plenty of freshly ground black pepper to taste. If the gravy gets too thick, stir in a little extra milk. Serve hot over bread or biscuits. Tip: The gravy will continue to thicken as it sits, so keep a splash of milk handy to loosen it up before serving 😌." has 1,415,538 views, 138,003 likes, 887 comments, 743 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
