Video insights
@justt_pearl1's TikTok video "I’ve been seeing the comments asking why I didn’t mention the amount raised, with some of you even questioning my honesty because of it. First of all, I understand that everybody is entitled to their opinion. That’s fine. But I also think there’s a difference between asking questions and assuming somebody is being dishonest. The video I posted was simply a thank-you video because the fundraiser had come to an end. I wanted to appreciate everybody who contributed, and that was the whole point of the video. The money was collected and given to the family in bits and pieces. The amount I took to them in that video was the last amount at the close of the fundraiser. Mark also sent the breakdown to the donors’ emails. We’re still in contact with the family, and whenever I receive funds for them, I still reach out. It’s not like we raised money, gave it to them, and disappeared. If you donated and want to know how the money was handled, you can reach out to me directly. That’s completely understandable. But what I don’t understand is why the fact that I didn’t announce an amount in a thank-you video automatically means I’m being dishonest. I’m not doing what I’m doing for the camera. No, no, no. Just because I choose to share something online doesn’t mean everything has to become content. I helped this family because they needed help, not because I wanted to make videos out of their situation. And honestly, I don’t need everybody to agree with me or approve of how I do things. You’re entitled to your opinion, but that doesn’t mean every assumption people make about me is true. We came together to help a family. People contributed, and we did what we could. I’m still in contact with them, and that’s what matters to me. I appreciate everybody who contributed, and I will always be grateful to everyone who showed up for this family. ❤️" has 1,569 views, 39 likes, 4 comments, 1 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
