Video insights

@mlivenews's TikTok video "An incredibly rare sighting recently came to the attention of wildlife researchers who are working to understand an elusive fox species in Michigan. While gray foxes are rarely seen by people, the sighting of a melanistic gray fox is even more special. The fox was observed in 2019 and recently shared with the DNR. The agency asked the public in July to share their gray fox observations to help wildlife researchers better understand their distribution across the state, which could shape future research and conservation.
