Video insights
@kryssycole's TikTok video "Yall have no excuses this year!! I did all the hard work for you #dressingrecipe #thanksgivingdinner #tiktokrecipecontest #fyp #cornbreaddressing Ingredients for Chicken Broth -whole chicken -4celery stalks -3carrots -1 yellow onion -2 TBS dried thyme -2TBS badia complete seasoning -2TBS salt -1 TBS Italian seasoning -2TBS garlic powder Please note I do not measure so start off with 1-2 TBS and season to your taste. Clean out chicken and place in pot filled halfway up with water. Roughly chop your veggies and add to the pot then add seasoning. Bring to a boil and then simmer on medium/low for approx 1.5 hours until chicken is falling off bone. Remove chicken from the pot and separate all the meat from the bone; set aside. Take pot with broth and veggies and pour the broth through a strainer. Set strained broth to the side. Dressing Ingredients -1 red bell pepper -3 celery stalks -1 green bell pepper -1 yellow or white onion -5 boxes of jiffy mix (or your cornbread of choice) -2 cans of cream of chicken(I prefer the low sodium option) 2-3 TBS of poultry seasoning -1TBS ground sage -salt and pepper to taste Make your pan of cornbread per box instructions. Once cornbread is done crumble the cornbread up into a mixing bowl or large casserole dish. To a food processor add bell peppers, celery, and onion and blend until the veggies are the consistency of salsa (refer to TikTok video for example of consistently). Dump blended veggies and both cans of cream of chicken into cornbread. Grab the chicken broth that was set aside earlier and start adding broth 1 cup at a time until the consistency is smooth and moist. You DO NOT want a soupy dressing. Your dressing should also not be dry and chunky. Again I do not measure’ so Start off with 2 TBS of poultry seasoning and 1 TBS of sage. Taste as you go! Add more sage and poultry 1 teaspoon at a time until your dressing tastes to your liking. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix until all seasoning are combined. Add dressing to a casserole dish or sheet cake pan and bake at 375 for approx 45 minutes- 1 hour until your dressing is slightly golden on the edges and firm. Please refer to my TikTok video to get an idea on consistency and texture if you are unsure! Thank you!" has 88,877 views, 3,551 likes, 88 comments, 830 shares in the public metrics captured by this index. That is an engagement rate of 5.03% (likes, comments and shares over views).
