@foxnews's TikTok video "Two men accused of stabbing an off-duty NYPD detective seven times in the Bronx have been captured hundreds of miles away, hiding in the basement of a Massachusetts home, police say. Detective Jose Mercedes, 33, survived the attack after police say he was stabbed and slashed multiple times and robbed of his gold chain. Days later, Mercedes gave fellow officers a powerful moment outside Jacobi Medical Center. He rose from his wheelchair and walked out of the hospital on his own. NYPD detectives working with U.S. Marshals tracked D’Angelo Caraballo and Sneider Mejia to Lynn, Massachusetts, where police say both men were found hiding in a basement.
