@securebordersuk's TikTok video "25 small boats capable of carrying around 1,700 migrants across the Channel have been seized at East Midlands Airport. The boats, each capable of carrying around 70 migrants, were found in an air freight shipment travelling from Turkey to the Netherlands. The shipment was identified by the National Crime Agency and Home Office Intelligence Team before NCA and Border Force officers intercepted it on Friday 2 October. It’s the second large consignment of small boat equipment seized in the UK this year – but the first time one has been detected in air freight. According to the National Crime Agency, more than 1,100 boats and engines destined for use in Channel crossings have been seized since July 2024, disrupting the supply chains used by organised crime groups. #Immigration #UKImmigration #Border #UKNews" has 52,550 views, 1,086 likes, 137 comments, 204 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
