I guess the kid in me resented my dad for that for the longest time. Wishing I had more time to spend with him and build that relationship I wanted with him throughout my childhood. But I feel guilty now looking back now after realizing how great of a childhood he gave our family because of all that time spent working. I’ve been blessed with a life now where I can build that relationship I’ve always wanted with my dad.. as a dad. To my two boys. Yes I work but I work from home. I’m around a ton. I can stop work whenever I want. & I can spend so much time with my kids. It’s honestly a dream come true & I hope my kids look back and cling to the relationship we’ve built together with all the time I’ll be able to spend with them. I’m only a few years into parenthood but it’s incredible the love I have for our two sons. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experience or ever will & I don’t take a single day for granted. You can never pick/choose who your parents are but as I’ve gotten older I’ve only grown to love & appreciate my father more & more.
