Two reminders from scripture for the weary ⬇️ 1. He cares so meticulously about the lilies, how much more for you, His daughter? He clothes, He provides, He goes before. Not a bird, nor a flower goes without what they need day by day. He hasnt forgotten you, you are of so much more importance to Him. He gets immense joy out of providing for you. Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. He will never leave you nor forsake you. You can RUN to Him weary. You can come to Him burdened. You can find sweet rest for your souls in the One who works all things out for the good of those who love Him. “And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭28‬, ‭30‬ “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬ 2. Jesus was filled with despair too. He cried out to the Farther for deliverance too. He understands the heavy moments when God says “no”. Jesus in Gethsemane cried out to the Father to let the cup of sin pass over Him. God said no to His Sons prayer, to later answer “yes” to billions of children’s prayers after Him. We do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with us in our weaknesses. He knows what youre going through, how it feels, and what it takes to stand in the midst. Tell Him, talk to Him. About your dissapointments, your asks, your fears, He will meet you there. Just as the Father met Him there. Both pieces (“Come Unto Me” & “Jesus in Gethsemane”) are from @Art & Olive.
