Imagine if everyone in the world suddenly got a rating… and one number decided how much your life was worth. At first, it seems almost harmless. You wake up and see 487 floating above your head. Then the news explains the new rules: your rating now controls access to transportation, jobs, healthcare, security, and even where you’re allowed to live. And suddenly, society changes. A grandmother with a rating of 100 isn’t even allowed onto the bus. A student rated 944 gets escorted into an elite academy through a private entrance. Your mom is denied the medicine she needs. Your dad loses access to his job. And government drones begin scanning low-rated neighborhoods like the people living there are already guilty of something. Then you do something simple. You help a lost little girl find her parents. And somehow, your rating jumps from 487 to 912. For the first time, the golden gates open for you. Luxury cars. Private clinics. Clean streets. Safety. Everything becomes effortless. Then you discover the same medicine your mom was denied is now given to you without hesitation. So you bring it back to her. But the moment you help your own family, the system decides you’re no longer useful. Your rating collapses to 001. Security throws you back outside. And that’s when you finally understand: A rating can measure how valuable you are to the system… but it can’t measure how valuable you are as a person.
