Video insights

@hussain_ibn_muhammad's TikTok video "The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5027) Not everyone has to become a teacher, but we should at least learn enough to teach our own children, to teach them Surah Al-Fatihah, and to help them recite the Book of Allah correctly. We put so much effort into learning other things. We learn English, we learn other languages, some even memorise songs word for word. But when it comes to the Quran, we sometimes use the hadith about receiving two rewards for struggling to recite as a reason not to improve. Yes, the one who struggles with the Quran and finds it difficult has two rewards. But that should encourage us while we are learning, not become an excuse to stop learning. Keep learning. Keep correcting your recitation. Even if it takes time. May Allah allow us to recite His Book correctly with Tajweed, understand it, act upon it, and teach it to our children.
