Video insights

@texaswildlifepark's TikTok video "Chunk spent the last month receiving a variety of treatments, but unfortunately, we believe his age was the culprit. Over the last month he had three separate vet visits where we had scans done, blood work done, he received a variety of antibiotics and other medications and unfortunately on paper, he appeared to be healthy, but one thing that would not be reversible or retreatable is his age. Chunk was a minimum of seven years old, but we do not know how old he actually was. He could have been older, we just know he was at least 7. In captivity, they live to be about 8 to 10 years old and so he was nearing the end of the lifespan of a captive prairie dog and could’ve easily been closer to 8/9. Chunk was a terror and kept everybody on their toes, but we absolutely loved him for who he was. He will be remembered fondly by all of us here at the zoo, and I’m sure by everyone across the world who saw his big personality." has 691,386 views, 147,376 likes, 2,405 comments, 10,569 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
