@whatstrending's TikTok video "TikTok just compared Jake Shane to Truman Capote, and BookTok is officially at war. Creator Stephanie Xiomara sparked a viral debate after pointing out that Jake’s Therapuss guest list follows the exact same playbook as Capote in the 1960s; Gaining the trust of A-list women, branding them his inner circle, and leveraging those relationships into a massive media empire. While literature fans are calling it a "media literacy crisis" to compare a modern skit creator to a classic novelist, others say critics are missing the point. Capote’s real power wasn’t just his writing, it was his unmatched social access. So, is Jake Shane just doing lighthearted pop culture interviews, or is he executing one of the smartest social access strategies in modern internet history?👇 . . . #JakeShane #TrumanCapote #WhatsTrending" has 3,452 views, 83 likes, 10 comments, 9 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
