A little update on Ripple after the attack. 💔 I wanted to show what his injuries actually looked like and share where we’re at now, because so many of you have been following along and checking on him. The photos are hard to look at, so please keep that in mind before watching. Please know you can follow him on here at @Ren and Ripple More than anything, we are incredibly relieved by how this turned out. Ripple was only 8 months old when he was attacked, and it was violent and terrifying. There is absolutely no guarantee that a puppy will bounce back from something like that mentally. And we are super lucky he was faster so when he was let go of for a split second he was able to outrun the other dog. He’s still a puppy though there will still be fear stages to come and naughty puppy behavior but how lucky are we that he’s still here to drive us insane? This whole situation has also been a reminder of what responsible dog ownership really means. Our dogs are our responsibility not just when they’re being good, but when something goes wrong. We have to be accountable for our dogs’ actions, manage them appropriately, understand their behavior, and do everything we can to prevent situations where someone human or animal could get hurt. Dogs are still dogs, and accidents can happen. But being a responsible owner means taking responsibility when they do. We’re just incredibly thankful that Ripple is okay. He’s back to being his goofy, happy puppy self, and that is what matters most. — @flambothedog TikTok
