@exploringwithrhi's TikTok video "First time in Tokyo? 🇯🇵🗼 Here are 5 things that’ll make your trip SO much easier! 1️⃣ Stay near a train station - The closer you are to your hotel after a long day of exploring, the better lol. Staying close to a train station you'll be using all the time is gamechanging. 2️⃣ Don’t overplan your days - Tokyo is HUGE. Give yourself time to actually enjoy each area instead of spending your whole day travelling between them. 3️⃣ Get an IC card - Suica or PASMO makes getting around so much easier. No need to buy individual tickets for every train. 4️⃣ Download Google Maps - It’s honestly your best friend in Tokyo. Use it for train routes, platforms, exits and walking directions. 5️⃣ Learn the major train lines/stations you’ll use - You don’t need to understand the entire Tokyo train network 😂 Just know the stations and lines that matter for YOUR itinerary. Tokyo can feel overwhelming when you first arrive, but once you get the hang of these things, it gets so much easier!
