Video insights

@kistreadsbooks's TikTok video "Spoiler-free book review of The Hole by Hye-young Pyun, which I'd seen comp'd as a mix of Misery by Stephen King and The Vegetarian by Han Kang but, for me, never delivered on an intriguing premise and read more like a physiological horror despite being marketed as a psychological thriller. It's a (too) slow burn about existential grief and isolation that I perhaps had the wrong expectations about coming into it.
