Today was a very special day for our sweet warrior. He finally got to ring the bell and he completely understood the assignment! How fitting to have such a special celebration during September, which is childhood cancer awareness and leukemia awareness month 🧡💛 808 days ago, we learned that he had cancer, and ever since that day, we have dreamed of this moment. There were times when this milestone felt so far out of reach, but today, it finally became a reality. We are incredibly grateful to the Hemoc team who cared for Ripken throughout the last 2 years and 3 months of treatment. We truly could not have asked for a better group of providers. They are genuine angels, and they made this milestone for Ripken and our entire family so special. His lab work at today's clinic visit looked absolutely beautiful. We will return in one month for a recheck and, if all continues to go well, will hopefully transition to lab work every three months after that. As we move forward, our updates will likely become less frequent. (Hopefully just some happy posts of him getting back to normal kid life 😊) But we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who has prayed for Ripken, checked in on him, and followed his journey. Throughout this battle, he has been surrounded by an incredible army of prayer warriors, and today he finally crossed the finish line. You all have been such a tremendous blessing to our family. We know the Lord has carried him every step of the way, and we believe He has big plans ahead for our precious boy. 🧡 #Fyp #viral #foryoupage — @kingmadenuke1999 TikTok
