@benotv_og's TikTok video "On September 2, 2026, President William Ruto told representatives of Kenya's micro, small and medium-sized businesses at State House in Nairobi that the government would take action against foreigners operating in certain small-scale businesses. Ruto specifically mentioned hawking and small retail businesses, arguing that these activities should provide opportunities for Kenyan citizens rather than foreigners. He said Kenya welcomes foreign investment, but foreign investors should bring capital and create jobs instead of competing with Kenyans in very small businesses. Most importantly, Ruto gave a very short deadline: the government is expected to begin enforcement on Monday, September 7, 2026, with foreign traders involved in the targeted small businesses being ordered to close. #viralvideos #foryoupage❤️❤️ #benotvog #unitedstates" has 28,459 views, 1,869 likes, 73 comments, 37 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
