Video insights

@alexander_dahlgren_jawad's TikTok video "Honey oak cabinets get told to leave the room every time someone plans a kitchen renovation. I was asked to roast one. I didn't. Roasting is easy and it doesn't actually help anyone renovate their kitchen. What helps is looking at what a homeowner did, understanding why it worked, and naming the handful of moves that would have taken it even further. In this video I walk through a real honey oak kitchen update — new countertops, new backsplash, new hardware — and the changes I'd have pushed for if I'd been at the table when the decisions were made: cabinet-top banding, a bigger light fixture instead of a ceiling demo, birch barstools instead of black, and one detail about a clock that I genuinely regret noticing. If someone told you your honey oak kitchen is a lost cause, watch this before you call a contractor. This isn't a roast. This is what actually separates a renovation that works from one that just costs money. #kitchendesign #whiteoakcabinets #kitchenrenovation #HONEYOAK #houseplans" has 52,461 views, 6,653 likes, 352 comments, 113 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
