Video insights

@tzatchickie's TikTok video "Christopher Nolan filmed The Odyssey (amongst other places) in Greece, and the location he picked is one of my personal top 3 in the entire country. 🎬 The Peloponnese is where you’ll find the real filming locations from Odyssey Greece scenes, specifically Voidokilia Beach and Nestor’s Cave in Messinia, the horseshoe cove and cave where the Cyclops sequence was shot, plus Methoni Castle nearby. And Acrocorinth on the other side of the peninsula. But the filming is honestly just a bonus reason to go. The Peloponnese is one of my favourite places in Greece full stop, and it’s an absolutely fantastic road trip destination. You get ancient sites, beach towns, mountain villages, incredible food, all connected by an easy drive with no ferries involved. Give it a few days and you’ll wonder why more people don’t put it on their itinerary.
