Video insights

@homealone.671's TikTok video "Home Alone Then & Now Released in 1990, Home Alone became one of the most iconic Christmas movies of all time. Directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes, the film follows Kevin McCallister, an eight-year-old boy accidentally left behind during the hølidays. Starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O'Hara, and John Heard, the movie blended comedy, family emotion, and Christmas chaos in a way that still feels timeless. Catherine O'Hara's role as Kate McCallister gave the film much of its heart, especially through her desperate journey back home and emotional reunion with Kevin. Remembering the cast members we've lost: Roberts Blossom, who played Old Man Marley, passed away on July 8, 2011. John Heard, who played Kevin's father Peter, passed away on July 21, 2017. Most recently, Catherine O'Hara, who played Kevin's mother Kate, passed away on January 30, 2026. 25,4K 26,6K Do you still watch Home Alone every Christmas season? 🎄❄️ #homealone #christmas #kevinmccallister #chicago #homealonehouse" has 13,261,374 views, 1,075,742 likes, 5,580 comments, 69,320 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
