Video insights
@max.hawt.dawg's TikTok video "When I started a TikTok account for my dog, Lil’ Max, I had just had my second baby and was suffering from what I thought was, severe postpartum depression. I genuinely did not know it was physically possible to produce that many tears from a single person, like, the amount of crying that leaves you dehydrated. The kind that makes you want to cave in on yourself. I would often lock myself in a dark room, and cry for days. I had never suffered with anything like that before, I had always been a goofball with a lot of energy with a good heart. During the very worst of it, when it felt like I would do literally anything to escape what I was feeling, I began to mentally cry out to anyone or anything that would just stop the pain. I felt someone tell me “I am going to give you a platform for the whole world.” In that moment, I was filled with confusion, and questions, and kept fearing that I had really lost it at this point. And as I began to wonder what it meant, the pain didn’t vanish, but it wasn’t unbearable anymore. It subsided enough for me to wonder what I was supposed to do. The only company with me during most of this, was Lil’ Max- who was beside me the whole time. Keep in mind, I was raised in a church-went to church every Sunday. No one ever really introduced Jesus to me in a way I could understand, it all just felt (at that time) like something people did as a cultural ritual, and that it was just a long distant remnant of the past that would eventually fade away. (completely wrong) I finished college, finished grad school, started making > 6 figures, had a C-suite career, even walked for 2 designers on a runway, and thought I had life all figured out. During that time- I would scoff (and admittedly) judge anyone that was still clinging to their parents ideas about Jesus. Back then, I thought that I was simply more educated, well-traveled, or cultured than those backwards people. I’m ashamed to admit, even hearing about Christianity or Jesus, at that time, made me cringe. It was all just for control, right? All just to make scared people feel better, right? Wrong. Completely Wrong. Sure, I had all those worldly things, and I still ended up miserable. Lonely, life felt meaningless, I needed to be medicated at all times to deal with life. The voice that spoke to me during my darkest hour, as I see VERY clearly now, was Jesus Christ of Nazareth. In 10 months, Lil’ Max has over 400,000 followers across all platforms. On *Tiktok alone* has 14 videos over 1M views, I think maybe 70-80(?) over 500K views, 12.7 Million likes, Maxtok is over 3,200 members, was featured in Newsweek, Ripley’s Believe it Or Not comics, Newsweek, Yahoo!, AOL, AL.com, GeoBeats, and news publications across the world I can’t even pronounce. I say all of this not from a place of self-pride, but truly as a testimony to the raw strength of the one true God. Jesus literally took a miserable woman, laying beside a little mutt puppy, and gave us both a way to stay home with our family, be as silly and creative, have a community, and reach people all around the world. So, if you have looked at me with the same haughty eyes I used to look at Jesus-loving people with, I forgive you. And I challenge you, if you are brave, or desperate like I was, to call upon the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. If you do that with a pure heart, your life will never be the same. The bad guys in the E-files are the same bad guys in the bible. If you look closely, you will see it. Choose Jesus. The cringing you feel? It’s not you. If this is what HE does for me, what will HE do for you? Hint: The closer you get to knowing the truth, means you’ll realize HE already did it. And that will be enough.
