It’s been hard for me to put this together, but I want all of our new connections that have found their way to my page to have an understanding of who they’re following/supporting by being here with me 🫶🏼 Mental health has never been socially accepted as an everyday topic of conversation, but it should be. One of the hardest parts of trying to heal after Eric’s passing was the silence I would be met with anytime I mentioned abuse, addiction or suicid3. Things that greatly affect so many individuals should be socially normal to talk about. I know I’ve posted a lot of cute and silly trends since I started this page a couple weeks ago, and I don’t want to entirely stop doing that, but my intention in joining this community was to create a safe space for anyone struggling. I want us to be able to share freely about the hard things in life, because there are so many, and it’s lonely if you don’t have supportive folks that can relate and make you feel heard. I want to be that person for anyone who needs a safe place to land, so please stay. Reach out if you need a friend, and follow along if you can relate to any part of our journey. I’m so thankful I’m able to share this, and my family is in a place that’s healthy enough to hold space for the life Eric, Ezra and I shared. Things are never perfect, but I promise you that life goes in seasons. Some seasons are REALLY intense, and feel like they may never end. But I’m here to remind you, the rain always passes, the snow always melts and a brighter season is always ahead. I want to walk with you through your hard seasons, if you’ll have me. I feel so fortunate that Ezra and I have been given a second chance at life, love and the family we always hoped for. I want you to come along on our families journey, experience all of the Lo’s and highs with us, and know that you too can weather the storm and create a life you completely love. It will never be perfect, Garrett and I wake up everyday fully aware of our trauma and how it’s shaped the way we handle life’s challenges together, and we choose to do the hard work. We continue to meet each other with grace and compassion no matter what obstacles arise, and I’ve found in time, it’s what I value most about the bond we’ve created. This post has become longer than I intended, but if you’ve made it this far, I already love you 💖 the power of relatability is strong, and I hope anyone that sees a part of themselves in my story, feels a little more seen and a little less alone.
