Video insights

@gardeningaddiction's TikTok video "So many people consider common mallow to be a weed, but it’s one of the most useful things growing. Mallow contains mucilage, a sticky, jelly-like substance rich in protein and carbohydrates. This is great for digestion and works as a binder when making your own shampoo (the root is to be used for this). When you look at all the harmful chemicals used to make modern day shampoo, the mallow isn’t looking so bad. It may mot smell as good, but at least it won’t make you go bald. There are so many ways to eat it. You don’t just have to have it in a salad, you can even fry it up like kale chips. Like tofu, it tends to just adopt the flavor of the other ingredients it’s being cooked with. Think twice before pulling this medicine up from your garden, unless, of course, it’s to harvest the precious taproot! #gar#gardentokd#medicinale#weedingw#howtogardeng#organicgardening" has 496,035 views, 28,587 likes, 347 comments, 4,972 shares in the public metrics captured by this index.
