From 5 AM Saturday, all public transport suspended: metro, trams and buses, including routes to surrounding retail zones and between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. A curfew applies to everyone in the city centre from 11 PM to 5 AM. Carrying helmets, gloves, goggles or fuel is prohibited. Paris — the army is being deployed. Soldiers from Operation Sentinel will guard strategic locations, freeing police for crowd control. Elite units GIGN, RAID and BRI are mobilised, along with helicopters, armoured vehicles and water cannons. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez will personally oversee the operation.
