Il video TikTok «Creamy, smoky, cheesy and just spicy enough. This Cajun potato soup is loaded with tender potatoes, smoked sausage, crispy bacon and plenty of Cajun flavor. Perfect when you want something cozy with a little kick. 🔥 Recipe Ingredients * 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced * 6 slices bacon, chopped * 2 lbs Yukon Gold or russet potatoes, diced * 1 small onion, diced * 3 cloves garlic, minced * 4 cups chicken broth * 1½–2 tbsp Cajun seasoning * ½ tsp smoked paprika * ¼ tsp cayenne pepper, or more to taste * 1 cup heavy cream * 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese * 2 tbsp butter * Salt and pepper to taste * Green onions for topping Directions 1. Cook bacon in a large pot until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving a little bacon grease behind. 2. Add sausage and brown for 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside. 3. Add butter and onion to the pot. Cook until softened, then stir in garlic. 4. Add potatoes, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika and cayenne. 5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer about 15–20 minutes until the potatoes are fork tender. 6. Lightly mash some of the potatoes right in the pot to thicken the soup. 7. Stir in heavy cream, cheddar cheese and sausage. Simmer on low until creamy and heated through. 8. Taste and adjust seasoning. 9. Top with crispy bacon, extra cheddar, green onions and a little Cajun seasoning.
