The people of Myanmar hold deep respect for Thai culture, heritage, and its citizens. However, the unified opposition and widespread call-out from the Myanmar public and ethnic communities are directed solely at GMMTV, a specific entertainment company, for its irresponsible act of cultural appropriation and historical distortion. The core objective of the Myanmar public’s advocacy is clear: we demand that GMMTV immediately cancel the production and broadcasting of the series 'Scarlet Heart Thailand' across all platforms, due to its unauthorized and unethical exploitation of Myanmar and Rakhine cultural heritage. If any phrasing in this statement causes any misunderstanding, we ask for your kind understanding as it is due solely to our language constraints.
