Make the batter Mix the flour, baking powder, salt and garlic powder in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk and melted butter. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and gently mix until just combined. Fold in the grated cheddar. Don't overmix. 2. Make the filling Fry the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside. Whisk the 4 eggs with the tablespoon of milk and some black pepper. Melt the butter in the pan and cook the eggs gently, stirring until just scrambled. Don't overcook them they'll cook again inside the waffle. Mix the bacon and scrambled egg together (or assemble in the waffle maker) 3. Stuff the waffles Preheat your waffle maker. Add a small amount of batter to the centre. Place some of the bacon-and-egg mixture in the middle, leaving a border around the edges. Sprinkle generously with cheddar. Cover with more waffle batter, making sure the filling is enclosed.
