A few disclaimers first, I personally don’t believe in certain sleep training techniques. I will always go to my children when they call for me at night and comfort them. The main reason we got this was to help wake Miller from his naps AND try to extend his mornings. For months he was waking around 5am, then I was having to pick him up from nursery at 10:45 because he was so exhausted he couldn’t keep his eyes open. He’d then take these huge naps which affected his night sleep, and we were stuck in a horrible cycle. This has honestly helped SO much. He understands that red means stay in bed and green means it’s time to get up. I check him on the camera and now, even if he wakes early, he’ll stay in bed and quite often actually falls back asleep. He hardly wakes before 6 anymore! He can now manage an (almost) full morning at nursery and I can cap his naps at around 1–1.5 hours without him being completely exhausted. They obviously need to be old enough to understand the concept and recognise their colours, so I’d say from around 2–2.5 years it’s such a handy little sleep aid for an early riser 🦛 You can also switch the red light off if they get distracted by light, so it will only go amber and green when it’s morning, it has built in songs and sound machine as well as an actual alarm ⏰ • •• ••• #ToddlerSleep #SleepClock #EarlyRiser — TikTok @mrsmmac
