So we gave her all the time she needed to learn that she was finally safe. Slowly, the most beautiful little soul began to emerge. We watched her discover toys, the comfort of a soft bed, the excitement of new adventures, and the happiness of having friends. We celebrated her first tail wags, her first kisses, and the day she finally found her voice. Things that might seem ordinary to most meant absolutely everything to us because every little first was another piece of the life she had been missing. She even went on to help teach hundreds of children about animal testing. The little dog who once had no say in what happened to her was now helping give a voice to animals just like her. We got to watch her experience so many beautiful firsts, but there was one we wanted for her more than anything, a family to call her own 🥺 And now, for the very first time, Bagel isn’t just a number. She’s her family’s whole world! Her amazing new family made the long drive from California to meet her, bringing their beagle, Bentley, along with them. It was love at first sight, and we couldn’t be happier that Bagel found such a wonderful home with them.
