Some of the most beautiful beaches, little villages, viewpoints and hidden spots are so much easier to reach when you have the freedom to explore on your own. But don’t make these mistakes when booking your car. First, don’t just choose the cheapest option you find online. Always check the deposit, insurance, credit card requirements and what’s actually included. That cheap price can quickly become much more expensive. Second, don’t wait until you arrive in Mallorca to book. Especially during the busier months, prices can increase and the best options can sell out. And third, be careful when booking through comparison websites or intermediaries. The insurance you buy there can sometimes be separate from the rental company’s own insurance, which can make things more complicated when you pick up the car. I personally recommend Offugo, Wiber and SIXT. 🚗 With Offugo, there’s no big deposit or credit card needed and the process is contactless through your phone.
