Analyse de la vidéo

La vidéo TikTok de @matt_swack « Shot on iPhone 18 Pro Max 😍 I headed out early this morning to the Deschutes River to test some of the new camera capabilities of the newest iPhone. My mini review below 🙂 The first few photos are long exposures taken using the new variable aperture, stopped down to f/4, along with the new built-in Pro controls in the Camera app. Long exposures on an iPhone aren’t new, but previously the main Camera app mostly relied on the Live Photo long-exposure effect. These are actual long exposures using manual shutter-speed control, and they were all shot in ProRAW, which gives you a TON more flexibility when editing. Being able to stop down to f/4 can also help achieve longer exposures without an ND filter in darker conditions. Even more impressive, all of these were taken handheld with no tripod. The last couple sets show the difference between f/1.48 and f/4. The wider f/1.48 aperture can give you a shallower depth of field, while stopping down to f/4 can keep more of the scene in focus and even create starbursts from bright light sources. In a practical situation, like photographing a couple of people at slightly different distances from the camera, stopping down can help keep both subjects in focus. And even if you’re not a camera nerd like me, Apple’s software should automatically adjust the aperture when needed. None of this is groundbreaking. Dedicated cameras have done it for decades, and some Android phones experimented with variable apertures years ago before eventually abandoning the feature, possibly because smaller phone sensors at the time limited the practical benefit. But as a lifelong iPhone user and camera nerd, these are really nice additions that make an already incredible camera system even more flexible. ☺️ » compte 10 205 vues, 346 j’aime, 39 commentaires et 8 partages dans les indicateurs publics relevés par cet index.
