Análisis del vídeo

El vídeo de TikTok de @mike_on_parenting “Want your kids to actually LIKE each other? 😅😬🙏 You probably don’t need to spend more time teaching them to “share,” forcing apologies, or stepping in every time they argue. Instead, try changing what you’re doing around the conflict. 1. “Don’t be around people who are being mean to you.” When your child says..”Mom, he’s being mean to me!” ..our instinct can be to go find the other child and fix their behavior. But none of us can control someone else’s behavior. We can teach our kids that they have some control over how much access they give that behavior to. Sometimes the best response is simply: “Don’t be around them right now..” 2. Save apologies for later. When kids are heated, forcing an apology usually produces a reluctant “SORRY” without much learning. Wait until everyone is calm. And sometimes a natural transition works beautifully: “We’re about to watch a movie. Is there anything you want to say to your sister before we go?” Now they’re calm, connected, and ready to move on. 3. Teach them alternatives to “NO” “No” can shut down a conversation instantly. Instead, teach your kids to communicate what they actually mean: “I’ll give it to you when I’m done” “Just one more minute” “I’ll play with you later” “I’m using it right now, but you can have it next” They’re still setting a boundary BUT they’re leaving the door open instead of slamming it shut. And that little shift can make a BIG difference in how often sibling interactions turn into conflict. I share a lot more in-depth strategies like these inside my private community for parents.
